Risk assessment
Reykjavík Energy requires contractors to submit a risk assessment. Below is a link to a risk assessment document to be filled out and instructions on how to complete it. Contractors are not required to use this version of the risk assessment, but it may facilitate the process.

Emergency Board
The emergency plan at Reykjavík Energy serves the purpose of preparing the company and its subsidiaries to deal with emergencies in a structured and systematic manner in order to:
- Prevent loss of life
- Minimize damage to infrastructure in the company's utility area
- Minimize negative environmental impact
- Ensure the best possible energy supply during a prolonged emergency
- Ensure the delivery of safe and wholesome water
The emergency plan covers the entire company, all its operations, and all its staff. It describes the division of responsibility, authority, and tasks, as well as communication channels, response, and assistance in an emergency.
The CEO of Reykjavík Energy is the chairman of the Emergency Board.
