VOR - The Reykjavík Energy Science and Innovation Fund

VOR, Reykjavík Energy's science and innovation fund, has supported 80 projects with a total of approximately ISK 300 million in three allocation rounds. The projects have been a mix of research projects, entrepreneurial projects, or student projects carried out by a diverse group of individuals within companies, institutions, and universities. All projects share the goal of contributing to a sustainable future for society. More information about the projects that have received funding can be found further down on this page.

The fund's objective is to support research and projects related to Reykjavík Energy's field of operation. Emphasis is placed on Reykjavík Energy's strategy and the company's goal of being a catalyst for a sustainable future.

The fund awards grants for one year at a time. The fund's application portal is open for four weeks from the date of advertisement. No new allocations from the fund will be advertised for the year 2026, but Reykjavík Energy will announce on its website and social media when the next allocations from the fund will be made.
