Reykjavík Energy observes equality, transparency, and cost-effectiveness in all procurement.

It is the policy of Reykjavík Energy to use open tenders for the procurement of goods, services, and construction projects. Alternatively, other procurement methods shall be used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In the procurement and management of contracts, we take sustainability aspects into account, such as quality, health, human rights, environmental, information security, and safety considerations, and base our assessment of a favorable offer, among other things, on these factors.

All procurement processes for Reykjavík Energy and its subsidiaries are electronic and conducted via Orkuveitan's tender portal. The tender portal contains a list of all active tenders for Reykjavík Energy and its subsidiaries.

The implementation of an electronic tendering system is part of complying with laws and regulations on electronic communication and information disclosure in public procurement processes.

Those interested in participating in procurement processes are encouraged to register on the tender portal.

We recommend that bidders familiarise themselves with the website and prepare the submission of enquiries and tenders well in advance. The staff of Orkuveitan's Procurement Department will endeavour to assist bidders in using the tender website, provided that a request for assistance is received in good time, no later than one working day before the relevant deadline.
