Request for information
According to the Information Act the public has the right to access available data relating to a specific case. This right is limited by the provisions of Articles 6–10 of the Act, which relate, among other things, to data on employee matters, in addition to the fact that the company is generally not obliged to hand over working documents. The private interests of individuals and companies and the public interest may limit this right and make it unlawful for Reykjavík Energy to hand over certain data. Because the public owns Reykjavík Energy, we may deny a request for data if, for example, it harms the competitive position of Reykjavík Energy or its subsidiaries.
If you would like to access data, we ask you to fill out the designated form. In it, you specify the data you want to access or the subject of the case to which it belongs with sufficient clarity so that we can best understand what you are requesting. You then send the form to requestforinformation@or.is.
We will process your request as quickly as possible.
Photography and Cinematography
Commercial photography and filming on Reykjavík Energy's properties are subject to approval.
Reykjavík Energy is entrusted with great responsibility for the resources it utilizes. This responsibility entails working according to the principles of sustainable development and ensuring sustainable use, which means that future generations will have the same opportunities as current generations to utilize the resources, and that it can be verified that this is indeed the case.
